Our Approach

Our Approach

At C2 Recreation Consulting our driving philosophy is to connect others with the outdoors. Helping identify opportunities, no matter how big or how small, for trail-based recreation and making them a reality is what drives us. We strive for innovative solutions for all things trails: planning, permitting, financing, construction, management, and maintenance.

Our Story

C2 Recreation Consulting

Chris and Chris first began working together over six years ago in the world of mountain bike trail advocacy. After hundreds of projects together, they went their separate ways to pursue other opportunities. Chris Bernhardt jumped into a diverse pursuit of all things trails working on trail management books, legislation and access, long distance trails, resort development, planning and construction. Chris Kehmeier took a position in the government sector managing sixteen diverse trail projects throughout Colorado, identifying grant and funding opportunities, assisting with a more cohesive recreation and conservation management ethos, and helping launch one of the first all-encompassing trail websites for a state.

Realizing that they still had a passion for connecting others with the outdoors and for trails, Chris and Chris decided to rejoin forces as C2 Recreation Consulting.
